Wakatobi 2026 Snorkeling Adventure

8 Days
Explore some of the richest coral habitats on the planet with this resort-based trip to one of Indonesia’s finest snorkeling destinations

Overview

Dedicated to marine conservation and centered in its own UNESCO-designated national park, the Wakatobi Resort showcases the famed marine biodiversity of the region. During this trip exclusively for snorkelers and led by Snorkeling Report’s team, much of our time will be spent exploring the shallow reefs that surround the nearby islands. Expect healthy coral in abundance, a rainbow of reef fish, and easy sea turtles encounters.

Trip Highlights

  • Discover some of the greatest marine biodiversity on the planet! Wakatobi coral reefs are the habitat for more than 340 fish and 100 invertebrate species, as well as hundreds of types of corals, sponges, and sea fans. The majority of the reef’s most iconic species are easy to spot at snorkeling depth.
  • The trip includes 12 boat snorkeling sessions in remote coral reefs on our dedicated boat, as well as a night time snorkeling adventure. Most of visited locations will be pristine coral plateaux and drop-offs where reef life thrives.
  • Enjoy luxury full-board accommodations at Wakatobi Resort in Palm or Ocean bungalows, combining the relaxed charm of a toes-in-the-sand destination with the comforts of a first-class resort.
  • Snorkeling, snorkeling, and more snorkeling! Enjoy unlimited snorkeling on the resort’s magnificent house reef, just a few steps from your bungalow. Common sights on the house reef include Napoleon wrasse, crocodilefish, 5 species of anemonefish, moray eels, angelfish and palette surgeonfish.
